1N5819HW Schottky Diodes SOD-123 Package
The Schottky diode, also known as the Schottky barrier diode or hot-carrier diode, is a semiconductor diode formed by the junction of a semiconductor with a metal. It has a low forward voltage drop and a very fast switching action.
The IN5819 series employs the Schottky Barrier principle in a large area metal−to−silicon power diode. State−of−the−art geometry features chrome barrier metal, epitaxial construction with oxide passivation, and metal overlap contact. Ideally suited for use as rectifiers in low−voltage, high−frequency inverters, free-wheeling diodes, and polarity protection diodes. Typical applications are in switching power supplies, converters, free-wheeling diodes, and reverse battery protection.
