INTRODUCTION
The home security system project consist of a system that provides security to the gates through authorized entry and the detection of any unknown fire involved in the home. The security of doors can be controlled through fingerprint recognition or through swiping the authorized card. We have tried to implement both of them. So our project have two doors. One door is connected to a security system where if an authorized RFID tag is swiped, it will automatically open for few seconds. Another door is having fingerprint recognition, where if an authorized fingerprint is swiped, it will open the door and allow the person to enter inside home. Also there is a smoke detector placed inside home. So, if there is any fire involve, the user will get intimation about it. The intimation towards unauthorized entry through any of the doors and the fire involved will be through a buzzer and the same status can be received at the mobile application present at the user also. The mobile application is made in such a way that it will keep updating the status of the doors all the time and it will also give the update on the fire involved status in home.
The block diagram of home security system consists of:
- ESP32 NODE MCU Development Board
- Fingerprint Module
- RFID Reader and RFID Tag
- SD Card Reader
- Door Lock 1 and Door Lock 2
- Smoke sensor
- Buzzer
- Mobile Application
Circuit Working
The main part of this circuit is ESP32 Node MCU. There are 3 securities that are been prevented through our project. There is an RFID reader connected at door. RFID EM18 RFID_Tx pin is connected to the D33 pin of ESP32. There is an SD card reader having pins SD_Clk, SD_D0, SD_DI and SD_CS which are connected to the D18, D19, D23 and D5 pins of MCU. A SD card will be connected to the computer and the authorized RFID tag data will be stored in it. Now this same SD card will be inserted to the SD card reader module. This SD card reader module as is connected to the MCU, so MCU will take the authorized RFID tag data from it. Now if someone swipes his RFID tag at the door lock 1, the RFID reader will read the RFID tag number and it will send to the MCU. MCU will match this data with the data it has taken from the SD card reader. If this number is present in its authorized data list, it will send the signal to the relay connected to electromagnetic solenoid lock connected at door lock 1 and it will get de-energized. The person who swiped the RFID tag will now be able to open the door and enter inside. If the RFID tag data doesn’t match with the data stored in MCU, it will send a signal to the buzzer to create alarming sound, also it will send data at the mobile application through Wi-Fi. Another door is connected to a fingerprint module. This fingerprint module have options to store, clear and delete fingerprints data from the MCU. Fingerprint module’s Tx and Rx pins are connected to Rx2 and Tx2 pins of MCU. The authorized fingerprints are stored in MCU through fingerprint module. Now when a person tries to enter through this door, he has to put his finger on the fingerprint module. The fingerprint module takes this data and sends to the MCU. If this data matches with the finger data stored in MCU, the MCU will send the signal to the relay connected to electromagnetic solenoid lock connected at door lock 2 and it will get de-energized. The person who swiped his finger can now open the door and enter inside. If the fingerprint data is not matched with the data stored in MCU, it will send a signal to the buzzer to create alarming sound, also it will send data at the mobile application through Wi-Fi. Another sensor connected is MQ2 smoke detector. This sensor when senses the smoke, it generates a high voltage at its output pin. This same pin is connected to the D4 pin of MCU. When MCU receives a high voltage (5V) at its D4 pin, it sends a signal to the buzzer to create sound as well as to the mobile application through Wi-Fi.
